Our country has been in a state of calamity since BBM became president . State of calamity is not a magic wand, BBM . You are responsible for 3 years of massive corruption and that includes corruption that led to denudation of forests, unregulated quarrying and minning.
To the lawmakers of the @HouseofRepsPH@senatePH & to the executive branch the @OP@bongbongmarcos:
Stop using that excuse that Flipinos are resilient!
We put you in that position because we gave to you that trust that you will be good public servants to us all #WeDeserveBetter!
The Resignation Is Just the Beginning
- Dr. Tony Leachon
Today, the House of Representatives has shed a heavy burden.
Speaker Martin Romualdez has resigned—not as a gesture of honor, but as a consequence of public outrage, relentless truth-seeking, and the undeniable weight of corruption allegations that have plagued his leadership
We welcome this resignation. But we do not celebrate it as an end.
It must be the beginning.
Romualdez’s exit is not absolution. It is a series of summons—for full investigation, for transparency, and for justice.
The Filipino people deserve to know the truth behind the billions in flood control kickbacks, the budget insertions, and the culture of nepotism and manipulation that has infected our legislature
And let us be clear: Zaldy Co, his close ally and former appropriations chair, must be held accountable. If he remains in hiding, he must be found. If he refuses to face the people, he must be arrested.
No one is above the law—not the Speaker, not the budget architect, not the dynasty.
We cannot afford to be quiet any longer. Silence is complicity.
We cannot afford to be sweet-talked by speeches. Words without truth are just noise.
We cannot afford to replace one dynasty with another.
The system must change.
This is our moment to demand a new kind of leadership—rooted in integrity, not inheritance.
A new kind of governance—built on service, not self-interest.
A new kind of Filipino—brave, principled, and relentless in the pursuit of justice.
Let this resignation mark the start of a quiet uprising.
Let it awaken every citizen who has been robbed of dignity.
Let it remind every child—Simmy, Lily Bear, and all our grandchildren—that this country still belongs to them.
We are done waiting.
We are done whispering.
We are ready.
