TESLA: Solar Juice spoke with Tesla Energy Australia Country Manager, Carl Jibson, about the future of Australia’s smart home energy, including Powerwall 3 and Powerwall 2 compatibility and other insights for installers.
BORING NEWS: Today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russia’s presidential envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, announced Russia will move forward with designing a proposed underwater tunnel across the Bering Strait connecting Russia’s Chukotka region to Alaska.
Russian officials have again stated that using technology from The Boring Company could drastically reduce the project’s cost from over $65 billion (using conventional methods) to under $8 billion.
Dmitriev says he spoke by phone with U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries.
U.S. officials have not publicly confirmed the call, but Russia said an agreement will be signed to continue design work on the roughly 50-mile tunnel.
Per Dmitriev,"Regarding the tunnel, we’ll have news tomorrow: We’re signing an agreement to continue designing the tunnel. The tunnel will happen."
STARLINK: Linda Santiago, TGS VP of Western Hemisphere Sales, stated that TGS is using Starlink to transmit real-time seismic data for their Amendment West 1 Multi-Client OBN program.
A vessel deploys thousands of recording devices on the seafloor and seismic sources (air guns) send sound waves into the subsurface. The devices record how the waves reflect back from underground rock layers and the recorded data is sent via Starlink straight to the processing center on land.
This allows TGS to start processing and deliver early results to clients while the survey vessels are still working, dramatically speeding up the time it takes for oil & gas explorers to get usable insights.
STARLINK: The Alaska Earthquake Center field team servicing remote monitoring stations near the Kvichak River by Dillingham as part of a six-station maintenance effort around Bethel.
They upgraded communications by installing Starlink Minis restoring clear connectivity and real time monitoring.
TERAFAB: There are reports that Elon will join ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet for a virtual fireside chat at ASML’s internal technology conference next Thursday, one day before SpaceX’s public debut.
Elon is suppose to share his vision on AI, robotics, space, and semiconductor manufacturing, with a focus on Terafab’s in-house chip capacity to support the planned million orbital data centers.
I reported last week that Christophe stated he and Elon were having conversations about the Terafab and ASML supplying its high-end lithography machines and High-NA EUV systems needed for next-gen chip production.
If true, I expect this partnership to start at the Grimes County, Texas, site.

NEURALINK: DJ Seo, co-founder and president of Neuralink, joined Sequoia partner Shaun Maguire at AI Ascent 2026 to discuss building the bridge between the human brain and AI.
DJ covers Neuralink's progress from 1 patient to over 20, +45,000 hours of BCI use, patients regaining control of computers and robotic limbs via thought, and addresses the current status of Blindsight (vision-restoration).
He described AI as an exocortex layered above the human neocortex, with the technology's ceiling as "direct, uncompressed, multimodal transfer of concepts" between minds and machines.
He also shared lessons from working with Elon Musk.
About 40 minutes until the Grimes County public hearing on the SpaceX semiconductor facility. There is a good line of people signing up to speak outside the courtroom. Should be interesting.
