Social media polarises. That's what it does. The discussion about #immigrants in South Africa is now extremely polarised. South Africans are crying for government to deal with school overcrowding, improve public health services and address crime decisively. #NoToHate#30June
South Africans have every right to demand better services, more equality, more dignity and less crime and corruption. Blaming #immigrants is not the way to do it. #NoToHate
Unite, from Soweto to the Sahara - The real culprits that South Africans and Africans must unite against are billionaires, corporations and ruling elites — the 1% who hoard wealth while the 99% suffer. https://t.co/gWMA4cRTnC
#wontbemarching#30june
Misdirected Anger Movement is wasting R600 million in taxpayer money for their vigilante imposed deadline of #30june. Myself and @ElonsTipsyAunty#wontbemarching Here's what we will be doing: continuing with activism to fix access to water and services.
@eNCA@SABCNews@Newzroom405 please reflect on what responsible journalism entails. You keep platforming vigilantism and don't provide sufficient balanced reporting on what the law actually says. @SAEditorsForum
SAn news media (particularly broadcasters) need to collectively reflect and take accountability for how your coverage of the xenophobic sentiment/“protest” has contributed to increasing violence instead of providing verified information to the public- which is your responsibility
Dear @RSA_IPID@Abramjee, this video on Facebook shows a police officer allegedly returning money following a suspected bribery incident. Also, SAPS officers in central Joburg allegedly often arrest migrants for bribes for release, as it won't be reported. https://t.co/FdMgwwUyWn
@AdvoBarryRoux Yes. If the state does deploy the army, it would be because March and March, Jacinta, Ngizwe Mchunu, Phakelumthakathi are here piling up firewood while saying oh we don't have matches to cover their arses. So she's saying it's the cruel state. No it's going to be on her hands...
South Africa has the triple challenges of high unemployment, inequality and poverty. We do also have crime. We muddle through it openly. No need for the US to make up problems that we don't have and undermine our social fabric. Glad DIRCO is protecting SA's sovereignty.

International Relations and Cooperation Minister Ronald Lamola says the US Ambassador to SA has been CALLED IN (Demarched) to explain himself regarding his recent 'undiplomatic remarks'.
Ambassador Brent Bozell recently remarked that he didn't care that an SA court found that the'Kill the Boer' song is not hate speech.
Bozell has since backtracked, saying he respects his host country's judiciary.
The EFF has since called Bozell's expulsion from SA.
Lamola: "We took his comments with a very dim view, hence we called him in."

Also, @SikonathiM the country's biggest mystery is why you became Eskom spokesperson that time. Sometime you need to tell us what led you to such martyrdom. We will never stop loving you for giving us the information we needed at our darkest time as a country. You legend! 🙌
I'm here at the pub with mates. We are saying cheers to you @SikonathiM@wicks_jeff and News24 team! Thank you for supporting #whistleblowers and here's to Mpho Mafole. His sacrifice will not be forgotten. #SLAPPS back at the bad guys.
The amount of scam job adverts...rampant. I support youth employment by sharing credible opportunities. I've just about become a factchecking bureau. @SAPoliceService how are people supposed to report digital scams? @InforegulatorSA@RSASIU@Abramjee
@karynmaughan I left a community WhatsApp group. My mood was instantly improved the next day. No more complaining without offering solutions messages. Peace of mind. Worth it!
@SAPoliceService@RSA_IPID@PresidencyZA There's a new group of xenophobes emerging called Defenders of the People (DOP). Name says everything 🍺. They are harassing a Chinese shop owner in Primrose, Gauteng to buy them 100 tshirts and they will stop intimidating her #extortion
