@nerfnoodle You're usually remembered as person who does X.
And depending on what connections you're looking for, the X should be different.
I know a guy who is good at management, so most messages he receives is when people need something related from him.
@nerfnoodle Not sure what types of friends you have or what your definition of a good friend is.
Especially online it's normal for people to get together for a while and then go separate ways, play different games or stop gaming in general.
@bonevoid Starting High masters the number of fun games increases by a lot.
Any time I've played in Emerald I felt like I needed a vacation from League afterwards.
@LonelyKatarina@emerrin_lol I'd rather have to climb 700LP to GM than 1700LP. If you're not full timing League right now it's probably better to wait until the system stabilizes.
@emerrin_lol Don't think its healthy, but thats the consequence of Riot messing up earlier with Aegis.
The healthiest thing would be for riot to reset MMR once again and just use the system from last season.
Now you're basically waiting for the LP to normalize, which will happen in S17.
@irelianoob Dunno why this Japanese post is in my timeline but:
1. Wave is already pushing back into you. You have 400 Gold and lost early very hard. Just take the recall.
2. You shouldn't be this far down HP, analyze your early game.
3. When you make a mistake, always blame your jungler.
@AdmiralVortex@iterogg They make sense until you realize that you have losing top/bot in early and then once you scale up you're the only champ who can actually win sidelane for your team.
@noodll65 I'm ahead and trying to break T2 and T3 towers but my opponents can always answer it since they can see half their jungle and I have no counterplay.
So the only play I have is to wait for Baron and then force the turrets with buff.
Vision control has never been this exciting
@losowytyp22@RiotPhroxzon So you likely end up playing with someone of a similar skill level or one of you gives in and plays with someone of a lower level with the hopes of carrying through synergy and comms or to have good short term improvement.
@losowytyp22@RiotPhroxzon Looking for a player who's better than your elo is usually a contradiction. If you're better than the current elo, you'll climb there solo. Same goes for your duo. Unless a players current elo is lower than his performance (smurf or after a reset).
@losowytyp22@RiotPhroxzon "Someone who is playing really well" likely wouldn't play with you, because it'd lower his chances of winning, unless you're duo smurfing.
You're right, comms do give people an advantage. My point is, that riot seems to value that advantage too highly in their matchmaking.
@Anafinio Unless you can proxy the enemy wave you will lose at the very least 1 wave and a plating top. This is enough to swing a lot of 1v1 matchups making you have no impact for the rest of the game.
I doubt a dragon is enough to make up for that.
Since Riot made dodging the champ select not viable we adapt in a way truest to a League player:
Report someone in Champ Select and hope the game gets terminated.
@SkyrstLoL Somewhere around season 10 I stopped duoing with my mate because the matches started feeling like we need to put in 2x the work to get our SoloQ results. Miss the good old times where I could scream at him for missing skillshots.
In a few months Riot will have buffed AP Irelia enough to make her playable just so Baus can say "I told you years ago this shamp is broken" on stream.
Irelia buffs:
- W damage reduction AP ratio increased from 7% per 100 AP to 8%
- R AP ratio increased from 70% to 100%
- This is in addition Q AD ratio buff noted by Phroxzob
