¿Qué momento del show todavía recuerdas?
Fernando Valenzuela no-hit the Cardinals on June 29, 1990 at Dodger Stadium, leading Los Angeles to a 6-0 win.
Vin Scully was on the call and gave the final out a line built perfectly for Fernando. The no-hitter was the pitching achievement.
Scully's voice made the ending feel unmistakably tied to Los Angeles and the player who had inspired Fernandomania.
56 years ago today, Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother was released in the UK, becoming the band's first number one album. The album's cover was famously hated by EMI, seemingly having nothing to do with the band or the music within, but the picture of Lulubelle III - taken nears Potters Bar. Storm Thorgerson said of the image: "I think the cow represents, in terms of the Pink Floyd, part of their humour, which I think is often underestimated or just unwritten about."

This week marks the 35th anniversary of the Monsters of Rock concert in Moscow.
On September 1991, Moscow hosted the largest rock concert ever held up to that point. AC/DC, Metallica, Pantera, The Black Crowes and Gorky Park performed before a crowd estimated at between 600,000 and 1.6 million people, according to various sources.
The show took place just months before the dissolution of the Soviet Union. AC/DC’s Angus Young later recalled the scene of thousands of fans sleeping outdoors around campfires, waiting for their turn to see the band perform.
Pantera opened the festival at 10 a.m. making a huge impression despite the early hour, while Metallica closed before a sea of people stretching to the horizon, in one of the most memorable moments in the entire Rock History.

Long term Vancouver resident, Nora Hendrix, in the late 1970s. The professional dancer would co-found Vancouvers first black church, The Fountain Chapel, and be a prominent figure within the Community. Her grandson, fleeing a troubled home in Seattle, would attend grade one in Vancouver’s West End and often spend weeks at a time with his grandparents at their home at 827 East Georgia Street. Nora would later attend her grandson’s concert at the newly built Pacific Coliseum on September 7, 1968. Jimi Hendrix would pass away in London, England in 1970. Photo: Henri Brown 🇨🇦

On This Day in Metal September 26, 1986
💔 Metallica played in Stockholm, Sweden.
Did you know…
This was James Hetfield’s first show back on guitar after breaking his arm. Tragically, after the show, while the band was travelling to Copenhagen, their tour bus crashed, claiming the life of legendary bassist Cliff Burton.
A devastating moment in metal history that changed Metallica forever.

40 years ago tonight, Cliff Burton played his final show with Metallica.
It was September 26, 1986, at Solnahallen in Stockholm, Sweden, a stop on the Damage, Inc. tour behind "Master of Puppets." The setlist included his bass showcase "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth."
Hours later, early on September 27, the band's tour bus crashed near Ljungby, Sweden. Cliff was killed. He was 24.
Forty years on, he is still the bassist so many picked up the instrument for.
