Ela fala muito sobre as nuances dentro de um relacionamento e também de um término. Essa música significa muito pra mim…

Sinto que esse álbum inteiro é sobre os ‘e’. Tipo… você pode estar em um relacionamento feliz e ainda assim se sentir triste. Ou terminar com alguém e ainda guardar coisas bonitas sobre essa pessoa. Era muito importante pra mim mostrar essa dualidade e essa área cinzenta no álbum.

E viver isso como pessoa também é difícil. É muito mais fácil pensar tipo: ‘eu te odeio, isso foi horrível’. Ou então: ‘você é perfeito’. Mas aceitar que as duas coisas podem coexistir ao mesmo tempo exige muito emocionalmente.

Passei muito tempo sozinha comigo mesma até conseguir chegar num lugar emocional onde eu pudesse escrever essa música. E criativamente também foi um desafio enorme. Ela não parece com nada que eu já tenha escrito antes.”
