nobody likes you when you're depressed.
plain and simple. we can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. they see you as negative, a burden and someone too heavy to handle.
It’s selfish to enter someone’s life, recognise that they’re loving, genuine and full of light, and then disrupt their peace because you haven’t dealt with your own wounds.
I don’t think people understand how hard it is when your toxic traits are isolation and avoidance but your love languages are quality time and physical touch.
it’s exhausting to live in a body that feels heavy with invisible weights. Every step feels like walking through wet cement, every breath feels borrowed, and every smile feels like something i have to earn just to appear normal.
You don’t realise just how cruel mental health issues actually are until you go through them, battling with yourself every single day. Smiling for hours only to fall apart at home. Always thinking the worst thoughts. I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, the hardest person to go up against is yourself.
