Food and grocery delivery workers are facing a threat to their livelihoods as restaurants shut down or cut back on their menus due to an #LPG crunch, said the Gig Workers Association.

Amid the crisis, the price of commercial LPG has been increased to Rs 114 per #cylinder, and the price of domestic LPG has been increased by Rs 60.

Kasturi took up auto driving a year later in 1994. When asked why, she said, "Naangale muthalali, naangale thozhilaali maathiri irukkalam" (I enjoyed the fact that I could be the owner and the worker).

Sister Chandra, the woman behind this quiet cultural revolution, had been doing community service in Dindigul when she noticed how poorly paid the men performing Parai Attam were.

Determined to revive the art form, Sister Chandra decided to form a troupe of her own. But being a woman, she had to also fight many gendered stereotypes around the art form, which was considered exclusively the domain of Dalit men.
