@Ed_Miliband Yeah, there's even more money you now think you can squeeze out of us. Wht happens when nxt year we have shit weather in August...as is usual in UK? Oh, sorry, it's no longer climate WARMING, you lot changed it to climate CHANGE to suit your agenda to make us poorer & you richer!
Simply not true. You have to compare elite with elite & average with average. This is a total misogynistic lie. It’s why Lia ‘William’ Thomas was able to go from 461st in male competition, in the USA to 1st in women’s college nationals, only because of male physical advantage. The ioc would not protect the female category if this utter rubbish study had an iota of merit or credibility. Shameful the disrespect you show for fair female competition.
In one of the last acts of the Starmer Government, it introduced a bill to ban conversion therapy practices.
On the surface, it sounds reasonable. Most bans are benign – but dig a little deeper and there is something truly sinister in this bill.
Under the draft bill to ban conversion therapy practices, parents, therapists and religious leaders could face up to five years behind bars for having well-intentioned conversations with gender-confused children or sharing their faith’s teachings with their congregations.
Previous iterations of conversion therapy bills have included a carve-out to allow these important conversations to take place – but not this one.
Parents should never face time in prison for dissuading their children from embarking on dangerous and irreversible medical pathways.
The Equalities Minister who introduced this terrible piece of legislation was sacked by Andy Burnham. Now he must ditch this policy.
@PeteLondonerUK@FreyjaBakke You seriously think the public would be able to dictate changes to the Sentencing Guidelines when the Sentencing Council (another quango!) has free reign. They're the lot who think it's fine for paedos to walk free. They have CHOSEN not to imprison them.
THIS IS JUDGE NICHOLAS HAGGAN KC
He's the Judge that let Nigerian sex offender, Ayomide Famakinde, walk free on a community order after he sexually assaulted a teenager on Bournemouth Beach because according to Nicholas 'he had a troubled background'.
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! 🤬

The Great Barrier Reef has just recorded five years of near-record coral cover. AIMS data shows hard coral stable or rising across all zones. You won't read that in the Guardian, says Chris Morrison.

‘Routine’ for sex offenders to be bailed to addresses close to their victims
Head of probation watchdog warns that prisoners released early could go on to murder
Before Arday important happened time that most people missed.
Why wouldn't they, after all it seemed like a dry exercise in funding allocation for the HE sector even if you were aware.
In reality it was anything but, and it's a story worth telling. https://t.co/SaJyYuW27p
Defra’s brain-dead attachment to 'rewilding', not climate change, is to blame for England’s wildfires, says Ian Botham. Why has it ignored warnings from fire chiefs, scientists and its own officials?

🚨 HHJ PETER ARMSTRONG SPARES JAIL TO A DANGEROUS CHILD SEX OFFENDER WHO FILMED HIMSELF ABUSING A YOUNG CHILD
A judge has sparked outrage after allowing a convicted child sex offender to avoid prison, despite him filming himself sexually abusing a young girl.
Judge Peter Armstrong sentenced 31‑year‑old Liam McMahon, who admitted sexually assaulting a girl under 13 and recording the abuse, to a suspended sentence meaning he walked out of court a free man.
McMahon pleaded guilty.
He filmed the abuse.
The victim was a child.
A child was abused.
The offender admitted it.
He filmed it.
And the judge let him walk free.
Meanwhile people are being jailed for social media posts!!!!!

Cambridge University has hired an academic who once attacked Western education as a threat to Muslims, called democracy a "corrupt tradition" and English one of the "most damaging subjects" schools teach.

The Free Speech Union is taking an interest in the story of Jason Arday for a number of reasons.
First, we want to know who paid for the threatening letter from the law firm Carter-Ruck — effectively a SLAPP — that was sent to Times Higher Education in an attempt to get journalist Jack Grove to stop asking Professor Arday questions about his academic record.
Was it Jason Arday himself? The University of Cambridge? Or the Good Law Project?
Second, we want to know who reported both the academic and former professor David Harris and Times Higher Education journalist Jack Grove to the police, alleging harassment after they began asking Arday questions about his academic and extracurricular record.
In David Harris’s case, the Metropolitan Police referred the complaint to Devon and Cornwall Police, which rightly decided there was nothing to investigate.
But in Jack Grove’s case, he was contacted by the police and informed that he had been the subject of a four-month investigation by the Met. While officers said they would be taking no further action, he was told he should refrain from questioning Jason Arday again because it was also affecting Arday’s mental health.
The police should never be telling journalists whom they can and cannot question — particularly when there are legitimate questions that need answering.
Powerful people should not be able to use the police to silence journalists and academics who are simply asking questions and doing their jobs.
The Free Speech Union has written to Sir Mark Rowley, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, to ask what on earth his officers were playing at. He has yet to reply.
If Jason Arday was the person who reported these individuals to the police, that is one thing. But if it was the University of Cambridge, that would be even more serious — and is something FSU General Secretary Lord Young will be raising in Parliament in due course.

The state of most water co's is purely down to incompetent management. End of. There shld be sanctions on these people.
