@crazyhouseprice 32 weeks here and a positive antigen just waiting on pcr. I’ve 5 and 2 year old who are dying to see their grandparents next door but it doesn’t look like that will happen. It’s the staff and students and families - we have been so careful but here we are!

@HollyCairnsTD This is what really gets to me. Hiding behind ageing infrastructure as an excuse for not allowing proper support from partners. Why is it allowed? I’ve been in the Rotunda twice about to be three times and it’s a disgrace - we are supposed to be first world! Women don’t count!

And what I find infuriating is the excuses of antiquated and inadequate facilities trotted out for not letting partners and others in! Why are they antiquated? Why has there been so much underinvestment in maternity services for years! Why is this tolerated?

@thejournal_ie I’m currently a patient at the Rotunda and I have to wonder why in a supposedly wealthy country the largest maternity hospital is so antiquated that basics such as insufficient ventilation and waiting rooms are acceptable! It brings to light how backward maternity facilities are

@trfcommenter @newschambers @VirginMediaNews I’m one of them! I’m 13 weeks pregnant and patiently waiting till I’m 14 weeks to get my first. It can’t come soon enough. Some people haven’t been vaccinated yet because they can’t for various reasons!

@gavreilly I wonder what the parents and uncle etc went through that they had it in them to do what they did to their own children. I don’t know but I suspect there is a long history of abuse in this family which is beyond tragic and hopefully this will end that cycle.

@roisiningle @tusla How are our most precious and most vulnerable repeatedly failed. Parents have little choice with such limited childcare and supports. It’s just not good enough.

@roisiningle @tusla I feel sick reading that article, to think that another vulnerable child could go through that. This could be prevented. My child went to Hyde and Seek crèche, that expose was nearly two years ago and nothing has happened, no mention anywhere - they are still open, still trading!
