A WoW Forever Party is coming to Shanghai this October, with a large in-person event built around WoW Forever: hands-on gameplay, a 1:1 Darnassus-themed area, interactive quests, rideable mounts, and exclusive merchandise. It feels a lot like a mini BlizzCon for the CN WoW community.

Shoutout to the WoW devs! Full send on keeping secrets secret! Item data is staying obfuscated so nobody can datamine stats before they're actually discovered in-game, and the Mount Hyjal raid is fully encrypted until launch. \o/

No more spoiled loot tables, no more "solved" bosses before pulling one. Pure blind discovery again. This is how you protect the mystery!

Every day I see some Classic players say, "We don't need graphics or a new engine; Classic+ is just 1.15 with new content."
Probably 80% of you will drop hate, and I don't give a f*** about it.
The branch is literally called MainlineCamelot.
MAINLINE. Mainline = 12.1.5. MainlineCamelot = 1.60.x.
Mainline means it follows the retail (WarWithin/Midnight) engine. It's in the name, and you're still arguing.
So to the #nochanges crowd: forget about it. It's over. And I'd bet money they started working on this back in 10.x or 11.x while you were writing paragraphs about how sacred the 2004 client is.
And I personally WANT engine changes. The game needs them to survive next to modern games. I know half of you will hate this, but Blizzard will clearly be hunting a new audience + retail players, not you, not again, for the x time, and let's be honest, you will be there in the modern classic+
tldr: 1.60.x is on the modern client 100%. Probably engine updates too.
Best case, you get an HD/SD toggle like Warcraft 3 Reforged one button, see the world you want with new zones and quests. Meanwhile, I will look at you with my 5k Ultra HDR eyes, and we will both be happy.
Pray for that button. It's the only thing saving you.
