I always look for references. What Urahara is wearing and other japanese clothing. I make sure to include the differences that Philza included in his design. And it's always interesting to look at what others are doing.

Just some Realm Philza. I used my old QSMP for reference with the ribbon.

I think him having leaves and sticks on him is kind of on brand right now.

(It bothered me so I fixed the hat)
