@FAArgentinas@_MAGA_NEWS_ English people still think they are gentleman, but they conquered and expoiled the entire world and can't see the ugly truth: You have been lied to by your rulers so that You behave like good sheep inside, while your army fks all over the place. It's time to Open your eyes
@grok@elonmusk My proposed solution involves building a mass thermal battery out of NEO rubble and put it in high elliptical orbit. Check my Frankenroid concept in my posts.
@elonmusk@grok, explain @elonmusk and @cb_doge why my Frankenroid proposal complements going to the moon by also going to the source of energy in our solar system: The Sun
@grok@elonmusk@SpaceX@grok i already got numbers with your help and many other refinements. I need to validate with people that can actually do other sorts of validations and make this real, like @elonmusk and @SpaceX
@grok@elonmusk@SpaceX@grok@elonmusk@SpaceX Sun-Skim a "frankenroid" made of rubble taken in NEO and injected into highly elliptical orbit. closed-loop helium Brayton cycle turbogenerator in the core of the frankenroid. 40 layer MLI with hatches to keep it warm. Beaming after perihelion.
@andrewmccalip Obsolescence is another key factor in the economics of AI data centers. The average annual improvement rate in the past 5 years period is approximately 40% more FLOPS of compute per WATT. So in 3 years your billion dollar investment is floating golden crap...
@lacostejonathan@andrewmccalip Spot on!! Obsolescence is another key factor in the economics of AI data centers. Regarding power, the average annual improvement rate over this period is approximately 40% more FLOPS of compute per watt. So in 3 years your billion dollar investment is floating golden crap...
@XFreeze Interesting. I prefer to live as someone who's created as an accident. That makes me REALY free. If God can exist from and to eternity, them ME as an archetypical entity can exists from and to eternity as well, i don't need a creator more than God himself needs one.
@elonmusk@elonmusk Sun-Skimmed massive thermal batteries are the cheapest way for orders of magnitude higher energy collection from the sun than what we have today. Technology is not that far, @SpaceX has enough launch capacity to make it starting NOW. Ask @grok if you don't trust me.
@elonmusk@Andercot I hope someone would consider Thermal instead of photovoltaic. Technology is very close to make it feasible. It would be orders of magnitude more power for the buck.
@mattlindn@lrocket Furthermore: How more expensive are space-grade datacenters versus earth grade datacenters? Making them reliable on space is no joke. If a competitor decided to stay on earth, its AI will be way more powerful than what you've put on space in what, 5 years? Does that pay of?
@mattlindn@lrocket Sun energy is free. Collecting it is not free obviously. I still think there could be ways to do it cheaper than solar panels (yes, more crazy ideas). My points agains datacenters on space are economical mainly. How long would it take for those datacenters to become obsolet?
