I have always said that if I ever leave Belgium and move back to Spain, I would return by bike. Earlier this year I decided to resume my life further south and as a consequence, I recently embarked on a 10-day trip from Leuven to Mataró.

Four teams (LTK, TVL, UAD and TBV) have already won a stage in both Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico.

Lidl-Trek has accumulated so far the most UCI points from stage results (321).

Movistar is the WorldTeam with the least points so far.

Another finding: no points have been awarded for the General Classification of Vuelta a Andalucía. It would have been a huge points boost for Lotto Dstny (who would have accumulated 280 extra UCI points) or UAE Team Emirates.

Last week the points collected in the Juegos Panamericanos (October 2023) were taken into account for the 2024 Teams Rankings; this week they still appear on the rider's page but are not included in the sum.

In the latest update of the UCI rankings one can see that the points from the Juegos Panamericanos (and all races after Guangxi but before Jan 1st 2024) are again taken into account. It is in line with chapter 2.01.001 of the UCI Regulations.

Jayco AlUla tends to be the team with the highest % of points collected in January (7.3% vs the average 2.5% for WorldTeams).

In addition to their expected success in Australia, this year they have won two races in two days in Spain.

Although I will mainly be working remotely and "in the shadow", this December training camp has allowed me to get immersed into the culture of Lidl-Trek. As someone new to this industry, I was blown away by the complexity of running a pro cycling team.

The collaboration officially started in September but during the months leading into it I already fully focused on the task at hand. That is the main reason of my absence.

I only had to rely on an external tool to transform the .gpx files into .csv ones; the rest (performance metrics calculations and of course visuals development) was done on Tableau.

WKO5 or Golden Cheetah aggregate vast amounts of data and allow the user to analyze it in a visual way. I wanted to give it a try and create my own training tool, using my ride data.
