@onrefinance Thanks for posting something and doing the steps to ensure security is a top priority on your protocol. This is extremely important and builds trust.
@heymike777@DriftProtocol Honestly, I saw Drift fail to reimburse users for much smaller bugs and issues that they clearly stated would be covered by their insurance fund. Things like oracle mishaps to minor math logic that caused loss. I hope they reimburse everyone to rebuild trust in web3, but :(
@armaniferrante Precisely. Trust continually is eroded in Web3. Hack after hack, drains, rugpulls, poor communication, "use as is", no insurance, semi-anonymous devs, so on and so forth. All that's left is ETFs... and they are antithetical to the whole idea of owning your own assets.
@wagmination@ore Forks are inevitable and are a part of the process. they don't necessarily take away from the original project. think BTC was forked into BCH, Litecoin, and ZEC. They all exist today but so does BTC
@Jupnet Interesting work. Challenging. I hope at the very least, whether jupNet proves successful or not, some of the R&D done can trickle back into Solana itself.
@OrderlyNetwork Nice overview. I'm surprised Drift wasn't on the list of other used Perp Dex's. I wonder why, since it has more volume then DYDX for example.
My feature request: consider if it's worth it to have more collateral options. Thought the core 3 are a great addition.
@0xkyle__ the asset class as a whole hasn't been able to tie the value of a token to the value of the product yet -- the two are still divorced, meaning that as of yet most coins are meme coins. some protocols are bringing in their protocol's profits into their coin, but it seems slow.
@0xkyle__ Good points. Also, coins need to have better inherent value in themselves. If this is decentralized investing, the investment needs to actually mean partial ownership in the company, like real investments do. It's the next level IMHO.
@CryptoHayes The US remains a global leader for the foreseeable future. One good product launch outside the US doesn't equal the toppling of the center of global innovation.
@Planetwonders28@CryptoHayes He made a good call on USDe's success, a project he helped create. He also made a good call on Pendle's success. I'm sure there are some others. In general I find his content amusing while also a bit esoteric to parse out since I'm not as deep in financial world.
@FabianoSolana In general, the whole point of an airdrop imho is to get new people in. The point of distributing to already active people is to country the deflationary effect of airdrops. In a way, the only question is: did the current users get enough to counter deflation? As of today, yes.
