the fact that we as citizens have no say in whoโs on the supreme court and the fact that theyโre there until they fucking DIE is insane. especially considering they make some of the most impactful decisions that will effect our lives and our rights
@MariaDeCotis Have you ever had to take a shit in a 400 sq ft apartment during an intense watershed argument with your partner? And youโre out of TP so they have to get you some and you have to say thank you? These humiliations are the BEDROCK of a long lasting partnership
Directors, please read this. We are replaceable unless we protect ourselves. Studios will prefer to crew up in territories without unions - this could be the last time our union has this much power at the negotiating table. Letโs use it.
tbh it's a lil scary to post this. I know many of my fellow DGA members support this deal. But I've been feeling a weird shame about returning to the picket line since it was announced. Please know I'm saying all this with respect and with an eye towards a better future for all.
I just voted NO on ratifying the DGA deal. I am proud of the negotiating committee for what they've accomplished so far but I think we can do better, both for ourselves and for our fellow guilds.
I think it would be smart to listen to and align ourselves with the writers. It's their literal job to imagine all kinds of horrific fucked up scenarios and they're loudly telling us that this is all gonna majorly fuck us in the very near future.
