tbf, i think you kinda wasted some people’s time.

then you went AFK for two days, only to come back with:

“thank you for your inquiry, however collabs are maxed out.”

if collabs were already full, that’s fair. but it would’ve saved everyone some time if that was communicated upfront. not some bread crumbing and hope raising text like “what are your average entries like”

Okay it’s actually crazy how @Kokomojinft has been all over my TL today, been a while since I wrote something about a project on X, but this one actually made me want to.

I’m kinda new to the space, so I wasn’t around when @iamnick44 did Sproto Gremlins and FIJIS. I only started hearing about him from a few friends who’ve been here way longer than me and these guys have been waiting for Kokomoji since 2025. The way they’ve been bullish on this man makes me think he’s the Messi of drawing funny little characters 😂

I’m talking random group conversations about projects to watch, and somehow Nick44 always comes up. “Nick needs to come back.” “Nick is going to cook.” Then the man finally tweets “hello” and these guys are celebrating like their favourite player just signed a new contract 😭
I’m not even exaggerating, you could feel how excited they were. And that’s what made me curious. When people have been waiting for an artist to return since 2025 and they’re still this confident he’s going to cook again, you start wondering what they know that you don’t. So I finally went back and looked at his work. Yeah, I get it now.

So I started looking at the actual art, and I think I understand the appeal a little more now.

Different faces, expressions, shapes and little details, but they still carry that recognizable Kokomoji look. It’s simple enough to understand at a glance, but there’s enough going on to make you want to look at each one a little longer.

And I think that’s important for a PFP. You should be able to see one and think “yeah, that’s my one.”

The collection is planned for 3,333 pieces, with the faces assembled on-chain and no duplicates, so every Kokomoji is meant to have its own identity.

What’s also interesting is that this art has actually been around for a while. Nick was posting Kokomoji last year when it was originally supposed to launch, and now he’s brought it back.

And it’s finally happening.

Mint price is still TBA, and there’s no OpenSea page yet. More details are still coming.

Honestly, I’m more interested in seeing what happens when these characters finally get into people’s hands. Because my friends have been telling me Nick is going to cook for a while now.
