@OptiontradinIQ Great article, most people don't realize that you can be your own fund manager and making way more by selling options than buying a dividend paying stock, it may require a little more work but it's worth it.
@TJTheWheelDeal Maybe, but managing in a diffrent bucket with low deltas, short term (1-3 weeks), and on an etf with medium to low volatility, and then do the math to see if it really works out. The main issue would be to find the ticker that works in any type of market. Not easy.
@BoBbyPleWniaK Ideally I would sell calls at 30 dte or less, so it's easier to manage when theyll move closer at the money, at the same time monitoring delta so I can roll with time ahead and keep bringing premiums that it's all about, and if I get called away so be it.
@BoBbyPleWniaK I would look for a short setup in the chart, and play it with a Call Credit Spread, trying to hedge the position and also bring some extra income. This for a short time, 1-3 days, trying to capture 40-50%.
@CPSellsOptions Like this aproach, but if you only have 100 shares and you are selling two contracts if you get ITM you will need to buy another 100 shares to cover the short call or buy the call back
@JoshTradeOption Genuine question, no intention to troll. Don't you worry selling a CSP on red days if it's a bearish formation (bearish engulfing, shooting star, graveston doji, three black crows, etc) because it could keep falling and fall ITM right away. Why not open with a pullback or U&R
@theoptpremium Agree, not only the ROC, most important would be at what price you are willing to own the stock, and I also look if i'm able to roll and willing to keep money tied to the trade. Could be a short term trade or one that I want or could own mid to long term.
