On this Good Friday, we pray that God will bless and protect the community of Holy Island and all those who have crossed these sands on pilgrimage in the past. No pilgrims walked the sands today, but, God willing, we will be back next year.
@MedievalG Don’t forget @studentcross pilgrims arrive on foot on Good Friday each year...not this one, but we’ll be back next year! This year we have a #virtualpilgrimage via Zoom and Facebook instead, but are really missing everyone we usually meet on our journeys https://t.co/YOSoBNLZU3
@Brays_Cottage There’s many a leg to @studentcross! Walking to Walsingham in Holy Week since 1948. @essex_leg@LondonLeg@elyleg@sxdogleg@sxessexleg@sxessexleg, Peg Leg and Wells Leg (and more not on Twitter?) We will miss their arrival but we see they are keeping the pilgrimage going online
You can’t fail to be moved by Judith’s account of some of her @elyleg experiences. Find out more about @studentcross at https://t.co/YOSoBNLZU3 #HolyWeek#Pilgrimage@dioceseofEly Join us!

One root of the word ‘pilgrimage’ is very simple. In its most basic form, it enshrines a journey off-road, through nature, away from urban centres, in the places where people rarely congregate.

Seasoned #StudentCross pilgrims @AlisonGelder and Ian Smith are walking 100k from London to Brighton in 24 hours to raise funds for @T4CG - you can support our work and sponsor them here https://t.co/zL9qpxRWcl
