Re: Affirmation of Authentic Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Call on INEC for Recognition

I, Uno Ekong, National Secretary of the original and authentic All Progressives Congress (APC), on behalf of the duly constituted National Executive Committee (NEC) and the wider membership of our great party, hereby affirm and fully recognize the leadership of Dr. (Alhaja) Hafsatu Danladi as the legitimate and authentic National Chairperson of the APC.
Our position is rooted in the principles of party constitution, due process, and the foundational values upon which the APC was established. The current structure led by Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda does not represent the true will and continuity of the original party apparatus. We stand firmly with Dr. Hafsatu Danladi and the authentic Exco as the genuine custodians of the party's mandate and legacy.We therefore call upon the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately recognize us — the leadership under Dr. Hafsatu Danladi as National Chairperson and my humble self as National Secretary — as the authentic leaders of the APC. This recognition is essential to uphold the rule of law, protect the integrity of our democratic institutions, and prevent any further erosion of public confidence in the electoral process.
This assertion is not taken lightly. It reflects the collective resolve of committed party faithful who believe in justice, transparency, and the preservation of the APC as a viable platform for progressive governance in Nigeria. We remain committed to due process and will pursue all legal avenues, including approaching the Federal High Court in Abuja, to affirm and defend this legitimate leadership. We urge all genuine members of the APC across the country, as well as well-meaning Nigerians, to stand with the authentic leadership as we work to reposition and strengthen the party for the greater good of our nation.
