@KatieHorneshaw This makes me think of alcohol, how that can be meeting the SUD criteria, and the parallels to your thread. It can heavily impact a person's functioning, was sought after intensely per the US prohibition, and it's legal and regulated now. Why not follow the same trajectory?
@moirawyton@BCCSU@TheTyee This is new perspective I haven't seen before in the discussion of substance use. Do you think there should be a focus on policy changes for harm reduction services for the fear of losing their children, or a focus on social services to stop the catch-22?
Over a million species of wild flora & fauna are threatened with extinction.
Thursday's #WorldWildlifeDay is an opportunity to seek solutions for creating more sustainable relationships between humans, nature & wildlife. https://t.co/LuyV8dFaal
It's shocking that there is potential substance abuse across the entire MLB. This is supposed to be baseball players at their peak health conditions. It also does not set a good example for any young fans. #EM203Robin#EM203Research
People throughout the sport of baseball are disturbed by the details emerging from the Matt Harvey testimony.
"If a secret culture of substance abuse could exist within the Angels, surely it can exist with other teams," writes @Ken_Rosenthal.

https://t.co/wyQcU2bMEx It seems like Ontario is really taking the steps recently to help substance abuse and other health issues with their Roadmap to Wellness program. #EM203Research
Another consideration to substance abuse is the various physical effects it has on the body and the long lasting consequences of it.

Hi Catherine, I am passionate about coral reefs, and climate change is damaging them a lot. I think you could focus in on an ecosystem being threatened by climate change and analyze how it works. @em203_czhang#EM203problems
Hi Jenny, a topic I am interested in here would be the outside forces influencing a person's mental health such as parent, peers, or online people. This would lead to the various conditions in your map. @EM203JennyBui #EM203problems
Connecting some topics together, I think an interesting idea would be to mix it a bit and look at school/work causing stress, or school/work taking time out of socializing or exercising. @EM203ESpall#em203problems
Hi Frances, I think you could take a holistic approach by doing a study on adults who played high level sports when they were younger and see how their entire daily lives are impacted. @EM203FrancesM#em203problems
Another aspect of this I can see that would apply to other conspiracy theories would be the community and acceptance one feels when they explore those topics. @ZachmannWLU#EM203problems
@EM203SGallow Hi Stevie, yeah it is quite interesting about digital age in education and what the future holds. This week's material really puts into perspective what the future of the digital age could look like.
@paigemange111 Hi Paige, learning about all these concepts and theories have been very beneficial indeed. Recently, when I'm learning something new, I think about "hey this is a constructivist approach!" or something like that. It allows me to sort of switch gears if needed and learn better.
@EM203NXiao Hi Nina, I was surprised at that assignment too! I chose to do sudoku. Doing that assignment made me reflect and think about my learning process for other things I learned about recently.
@EM203JMedeiros Hi Justin, this class is quite interesting. I'm used to interactivity with discussion posts from other online courses, but this twitter element takes it to another level.
@EM203ESpall Same here Ethan, I am really looking forward to future topics. The previous topics have been really engaging with me and am excited to see how I can relate to the future topics.
In #EM203Robin , I'm seeing so many parallels from what I've learned in data science. From the different learning methods, there are parallels to machine learning and reinforcement learning. In the multi-tasking lesson, there are parallels to good data visualization principles.
