Biodiversity Loss is an extreme problem our world is currently facing and action needs to be taken! Here are some first steps we as individuals can take to try and address this issue🌳🌱🌎
I worry a lot about climate change. Recently I've also been worrying about biodiversity loss.
Many think "biodiversity" just means species, but it really means *everything* that makes up the living world – and a lot of that is going, because of us

@em203cvanbommel Great concept map about the environment! You could also talk about the ethics behind food production, and how much of the environment is being torn apart for farms and livestock. #em203problems
@Em203Katj #em203problems You could possibly expand on the lack of school funding. Including the lack of resources in classrooms, teachers having to pay for things in the classrooms themselves, and the low salaries a lot of teachers in the United States are receiving.
@EM203APompilio#em203problems Something you could possibly look more into is the amount of food that is wasted or lost (1/3) and just how much this food waste is contributing to greenhouse gas emissions (1/3 of total emissions).
@em203_megan #em203problems Something you could look more into is the effect humans are having on wildlife. Specifically the biodiversity loss we are currently experiencing – with dramatic declines in animal populations and the increase of species near extinction.
The first three weeks of EM203 have been very interesting so far! I have learned so much already and have been enjoying it a lot! It was really fun and satisfying to learn to complete a difficult Sudoku puzzle this week! #EM203Robin
@HDiamondEM203 I agree Hope! Learning through social media is a very relevant way for us to learn in this day and age and is a fun way for us to learn as well!
