"fast fashion is:
a feminist issue: most garment workers are women
a racism issue: textile waste is dumped on African villages
an environmental issue: polyester is fossil fuel based, microplastics

A problem relating to your concept map about fast fashion is: "What are some solutions to the fast fashion crisis and what are the benefits of these solutions?" @em203gchou#EM203problems
@em203gchou Clothing companies including Adidas and Nike use unethical practices to create their products. Despite certain efforts, working conditions and pay for factories workers are still very poor. These factories also produce a lot of waste and pollution. #EM203problems
@Em203Toor there is an urgent need for healthcare workers (nurses, PSWs, etc.) in Canada right now. because of this, professionals in healthcare are required to work hours on end without adequate breaks. on top of that, they are also underpaid for their hard work! #EM203problems
@EM203sgodse food waste is a problem - the majority of big-label food companies are required to throw away "out of date" foods, when they are in fact, edible. this not only contributes to landfills but turns a blind eye to people who do not have access to food #em203problems
@EM203ebranco we have seen a rise in suicide rates among university students over the years. mental health matters and it is important for higher education institutions to provide recognition, adequate counseling, and resources for students #em203problems
