After three years, Congress FINALLY reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act today – and we strengthened it by adding desperately needed resources for LGBTQ+, Native, and rural communities. Survivors of domestic abuse finally have the critical protections they deserve.
Investing and taking part of programs such as #PMforYouth can educate us on promoting gender issues as well as working towards demolishing stereotypes. We need more programs like these!

Yesterday’s stabbings at a gender studies class at the University of Waterloo are horrifying and unacceptable. This type of violence must always be condemned. Our thoughts are with the professor and two students who were injured.
