But if they are unknown then no, in regard to discerning between PH and MH by examining a physical presentation, again no. But I also don't think OTs think they can.

@Ask_foradoctor @rcpsych @YouTube Coming from social modal of disability which should be considered when looking at MH. I don't think any OT would attempt to over simplify a person's presentation or dismiss any exploration or assessment needed by a DR.
Unlike Drs who very often misunderstand the role of OTs.

However, based on what is written I assume that the OT can refer to the Dr if needed because the complexity of presentation or risk assessment! OTs are great at looking holistically and

@Dmdav1 Perhaps looking at the window of tolerance or the defense cascade could help to frame the brain/body response & why a lot of education strategies are counterintuitive & increase risk and/or future dysregulation due to their previous responses/demands on the person.
