KATSINA LOCAL GOVERNMENT BECOMES THE 9th LGA IN NIGERIA TO LAUNCH AN OFFICIAL WEBSITE
Katsina Local Government has reached a significant milestone by becoming the 9th Local Government Area (LGA) out of the 774 across Nigeria to officially launch its own website, a landmark step towards promoting transparency, accountability, and digital governance.
Before today, only eight (8) LGAs nationwide had active websites. This achievement positions Katsina Local Government among the few forward-thinking councils in Nigeria embracing innovation to improve service delivery and strengthen citizen engagement.
Under the visionary leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude, the official website was conceived as a tool to foster transparency, accountability, and effective communication between the government and the people.
The platform provides access to official information, updates on government programs, and an avenue for residents to share feedback, inquiries, and suggestions directly with the Council.
Most importantly, this marks a historic first since the creation of Katsina State, as Katsina Local Government becomes the first LGA in the state’s history to establish an official website. This innovation underscores the administration’s commitment to openness, modernization, and the use of technology to enhance local governance.
The website will serve as a comprehensive hub for information on projects, policies, tenders, and public services, reflecting the Council’s dedication to inclusive and responsive leadership.

By taking this bold step into the digital era, Katsina Local Government has set a new standard for local administration in Nigeria, demonstrating that technology and good governance go hand in hand in driving sustainable community development.

GOVERNANCE ALERT
Today was a day spared for the environment.
Katsina State Governor, Dr @dikko_radda, Ph.D, CON, commissioned a wide-range of renewable energy projects across public institutions in the state. This is in with the administration’s efforts to promote, clean, energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly space for all.
The cross-section of projects commissioned include;
- 1MW Solar PV plus Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at state secretariat
-1MW Solar PV plus Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Muhammadu Buhari House, Katsina
-300KW solar PV plus 300KWH BESS at General Hospital Katsina
-40KW solar PV plus 60KWH BESS at Katsina State Directorate of ICT (KADICT).
-20KW Solar PV plus 20KWH BESS at Katsina State Department of Power and Energy
-20KW Solar PV plus 20KWH BESS at SDG’s office
The governor also commissioned the installation of 532KW of Solar Street Lights across 100KM within Katsina Metropolis.
The state is also anticipating additional 20.1MW of solar powered plants across schools, hospitals, Dams, Courts and other public institutions.
The governor will soon commission Additional 10MW Solar PV to complement 10MW wind farm at Lambar Rimi, recently concessioned to the State by Federal Government Ministry of Power.
A heartfelt prayer for Hon. @Miqdad_Jnr 🙏 ‘Allah shi baka Governor Katsina.’ The smile on his face says it all😅 This shows the love and confidence the people have in his leadership. May Allah continue to guide him and grant him greater heights in service.
It’s honestly sad to see how some people deliberately refuse to acknowledge the progress happening across all sectors in Katsina State. Politics aside, sentiments aside, if you look at it critically, the facts are clear.
Even on insecurity, which many keep politicizing, using it as a yardstick to downplay this administration, major strategies have been adopted and are already being put into action. Yet, not a word of acknowledgment when a good initiative is rolled out.
Governor Radda himself went as far as calling on all stakeholders in the state, giving them the free room to challenge him on any area that needs to be addressed. That level of openness is rare, but again, nobody talks about it.
Now, on this particular video I posted, what exactly is wrong with it? What part of it is untrue? Saying “go to the villages, you’ll see mothers carrying babies under the sun just to vote, yet later they are betrayed” is that not the bitter truth?
And what’s even more surprising? The same people so eager to quote and attack this video most of them have never once engaged with any progressive content we’ve posted when government records achievements. Neither my tweets, nor @MSIngawa tweets. Silence when it comes to progress, but loud when it’s time to twist narratives.
And let me add this clearly: if you think it’s only the Governor that will be judged while you, as a civilian, will just walk free after all your roles and actions, then I sincerely pray for you in advance.
No previous administration has achieved as much for our state in less than two years as we have under our leadership.
From the very moment I was sworn in as Governor, I was guided by a clear and unwavering vision of the path ahead, one that would deliver transformative progress for our people.
Even before assuming office, I took proactive steps by consulting closely with legal experts. We recognized that realizing our ambitious goals would require the swift implementation of key constitutional provisions, which can often involve lengthy processes.
That’s why, upon taking the reins of government, we moved decisively: submitting these vital bills to the state assembly at the earliest opportunity to expedite their passage and turn our shared vision into lasting reality.
