“Dad, I’m going to the U.S. Open.”
There are two 15-year-olds in the field this week at the @uswomensopen. When Addie Dobson was 15, she was just taking up the game and trying to break 100. Now she's in the field at Riviera Country Club.
Dobson, a 22-year-old Missouri grad from small-town Illinois, defines the "openness" of a U.S. Open. Even she can't believe she's here.
“I feel like the people around me were more excited for me than I was because it was hard for me to even believe that I could – that someone like me could just go to St. Louis and play 36 holes and now I’m going to the U.S. Open."
