You know you’re firmly back in Seattle when you have the good fortune of bumping into music legend Jeff Ament in a favorite bookstore. Thanks for taking the time to chat about the arts and community. #pearljam#hugohouse#vitologyfoundation#seattle

@blacklionking73 I'd be honored to show you around (and get that photo) when you're in Seattle. No matter what you're wearing. Holler back if you see a time window that's open.
Instead of always just lurking on Twitter, I'm wading in today. My #SeattleGrungeRedux walking tour wraps up regularly scheduled tours this week. A new blog post gives an overview and some juicy nostalgia nuggets. #DropInThePark#KEXP#Singles#BikiniKill https://t.co/zeoYAUMX9S
New blog post pondering the comparative differences between #Seattle and #London. With just a dusting of #SanFrancisco thrown on the board near the end. How we acknowledge our cultural history says a lot about a place. #SeattleGrungeRedux#VisitSeattle https://t.co/2RhQOBDSeA
My two-year socials quarantine appears over. I'll try to catch up with some new posts. But here's a few #SeattleGrungeRedux tours from the past year. Good folks coming from all over. I've got another one set to roll tomorrow, if you're in town. Find me at https://t.co/e40bpejZ9j
@richjensen Apologies for being consumerist. I'm drawn to the energy around the Midtown/Cass Corridor near Wayne State U's campus. Avalon Bread on Willis. Source Booksellers will happily explain what's what in real #Detroit. Third Man Records pressing plant on Canfield rocks. Murals at DIA.
News out this morning for those wondering about #mink and #COVID19#vaccine. #Zoetis distributed doses to those #USA mink farmers willing to vaccinate. Now they are shipping 11,000 doses to vaccinate American #zoo animals. Next up surely will be an attempt to sell to #pet owners.
@anikavarty@seattletimes Set your phone alarm to a song you love getting stuck in your head. Mine is "Papa Was a Rodeo" by the Magnetic Fields. Stephin Merritt's baritone voice is both soothing and hilarious. Gets me goin' whenever I need it.
New blog post announcing my #SeattleGrungeRedux tour dates for this summer. 20 dates, starting this Thursday (July 1st). New stories added to the mix. Same old classics in rotation. #backtobusiness#SeattleHistory#walkingtours https://t.co/XSY7TuHAcg
My quick read of today's officially released #WHOReport on #SARS_CoV_2. #Mink appears 28 times in 120 pages. The terms "highly susceptible" and "reservoir host" usually proximate to those mentions. And the list of 10 nations with reported farm outbreaks forgot #Italy. #PeltingOut
In case you missed these #Covid19 in #mink updates. #Sweden banned #breeding in 2021 (just mink - all other species may carry on). #Poland culled 5845 mink from their first infected farm. Polish farmers want a promised payout plan (like the $3.1B #Denmark set aside). #PeltingOut
@politicgame The data's a bit hard to quickly digest (for a non-scientist like me). But Table 1 prior to the Discussion section lists the "Number of Confirmed human cases caused by mink variant strains" in #Denmark. That strain infected 895 people through November 2020. Farmers and others.
New report by #Denmark researchers on #COVID19 in #mink leaves little doubt. Threats of "viral adaptation and potential immune escape that may spill back into the human population" justified the decision to kill an estimated 17 million animals. #PeltingOut https://t.co/dQMt4B1ESt
