I might be wrong here, but I think I came close to finding the root cause of the Pixel 6 fingerprint death issue.
Keep in mind that this is just speculation. I don't work at Google or know how these chips communicate.
Or, Titan M2 might be corrupting itself, since a factory reset is the only known fix and that wipes Titan M2. Though it might still be an issue with the security core.

And, the only benchmarks of the 1080 are probably done on reference boards (like the one in the image, which is for the 5420), and you don't usually see people walking around with them.
