Just audited an ecom store's email setup.
They were paying their agency $7k/month + commission on email revenue.
I opened Klaviyo and found 4 segments.
Just 4. That's it.

I got a message today store doing $12K/day.
Had a "proper" email agency running things.
Result? 5-6% revenue from emails.
That's what happens when nobody's treating it like their own brand.
Everyone is a big fan of popups and gamified sign-up forms.
And heard that Alia is charging a lot as well.
Found this random app, gave it a shot I'm loving it.
10.4% submit rate.
246 leads.
$1.3K revenue.
Just from a scratch card popup.
PS: won't be getting any affiliate for this, just sharing because everyone is a fan of scratch popups.

One word for every ecom brand doing a 100k a month with no email marketing.
KANKER.
You're spending thousands on ads. Meta. Google. TikTok.
And you're Just letting those customers walk away.
KANKER, bro.
Go fix that.
So called "Big email marketing agencies" are straight up scamming ecom brand owners.
Here's what they actually do:
They copy-paste the exact same flows from one store to the next.
Same emails.
Same sequences.
Different logo.
Charge you few bucks per month.
Call themselves experts on soclal media. Move on.
And the ecom owner? Happy paying "less" not realizing where the real money is leaking.
Email should be your #1 revenue channel.
For most ecom brands, it's the biggest leak.
Know what to look for before signing with any agency.
Klaviyo now fires on Phoenix subscription events: approved rebills, declined rebills, and cancellations.
These fire from the rebill engine, in addition to the storefront events Klaviyo already receives through your Shopify connection.
Three flows operators usually build first against these:
โข Approved rebill: reorder upsell or bundle prompt 24h after charge
โข Declined rebill: card-update CTA at +0h, soft retry messaging at +24h and +72h
โข Canceled subscription: 14-day winback segmented by tenure
Why this is its own integration: Klaviyo's stock event set fires on the storefront.
For subscription brands, the highest-LTV events happen one layer deeper, at the rebill engine
If your flows can't see those events, the only recovery messaging running is whatever the default storefront flows do.
I just closed a client at Smash Burger.
No cold email. No DMs. Just two strangers and a real conversation.
He's from the UK, making money online, into Shopify.
Real life is the most underrated client closing startegy haha
