What you’re seeing is the palmar grasp reflex a powerful primitive reflex present in all healthy newborns.
When something touches their palm, their fingers automatically close tightly around it. This is an evolutionary leftover that helped babies cling to their mothers. In the video, the doctor demonstrates just how strong it can be… then cleverly “disarms” the baby.
He does a quick, controlled drop of the upper body (while fully supporting the baby) and immediately catches him again. This triggers the Moro reflex (the startle reflex).
During the Moro response, the baby’s arms fly open and the hands unclench releasing the stethoscope. Both reflexes are completely normal and are routinely checked by doctors as part of the newborn neurological exam. The grasp reflex usually fades by 5–6 months as voluntary control develops.

Happy birthday to the man who fought another lecturer who wanted sex over my hard work as a student. A lecturer boldly failed me because I refused a visit. He was known for it. I was in 200 level then. I saw the disappointment on my professor's face because this was someone he helped.
When the information got to my professor, he took immediate action.
On the agreed date for the hearing, I got into the room with my previous results on the table. All I heard was, "It cannot be Blessing. Dr, something is wrong. She wrote all of these in the past. She is diligent. It can't be my daughter. Dismiss this."
Although it was too late for the portal to change the verdict online, I am glad my innocence was proven. All my scripts magically reappeared. And the next generation after me has not had to deal with such an element. I saw my script. I did not fail, as written by the man who lacks self-discipline.
I have not forgotten how you stood up for me, Sir. You made sure whoever did this paid heavily for it. It is 5 years after graduation but everything is still new in my heart.
Professor Modo gave me access to his library. He encouraged me to be steadfast. He has not forgotten me. He spoke to me early this year and told me to further my studies since I am well now.
Throughout the time I was sick, he was always talking to me. He would say, "When you are ready, go to this institution and tell XYZ that you are from me."

So in KG 1, my daughter won most creative pupil ; I was proud of her. I mean it’s kg 1 and hey! My baby got awarded! Wawu!!!
In KG 2, she won best in creative arts and best hand writing and my reaction, even though I didn’t say it to her was “people are winning best in numeracy , phonics , your own is creative arts”. I was not happy , I won’t lie!
I made her repeat KG 2 for personal reasons and at the end of the academic year , she won the same two awards again!
Grade 1 came and she still won best in creative arts and best handwriting awards. In my head , I was like sey people that are winning best in Matjs , English and other subjects have 2 heads???? Ewo ni handwriting and creative arts ??🙄🙄
On Wednesday, we had the yearly award programme which I was invited for again and I honestly hoped she won something “major” and not creative arts but she won best in creative arts again in Grade 2!!!! …The moment her name was called , I clapped so loud for the first time! I decided to appreciate the genius I have . My future Picasso!!!! My creative girl!!!!
I felt so bad that I’ve looked down on the awards she got for years because it’s not Maths, English or the social sciences subjects. Her consistency of winning the same award for 5 years didn’t matter to me! I just wanted the “main” subjects like our parents 😩😩😩
That has changed anyways! I’m going to support the creative genius I have in my house with everything I have! I’ll register here for art school (Oh! She loves drawing so much!) and help her strengthen her skill!
Lauryn is soooo artistic! Drop anything here and she has made something out of it! Her brain and hands are blessed when it comes to creativity!!! I was looking for something else instead of celebrating my baby’s strength.🥹

Here's my style after making plenty of mistakes.
1. T-shirts:
Skip 100% polyester unless you're buying gym wear.
Instead, search:
• 100% Cotton
• Combed Cotton
• Heavyweight Cotton
• 240-300 GSM Cotton
• Premium Cotton
• Mercerized Cotton
The heavier the GSM, the thicker and more premium the shirt usually feels.
2. Jeans:
Denim Jeans
Temu is surprisingly good for denim if you know what to search.
Search:
• Denim Jeans
• Cotton Denim
• Raw Denim
• Selvedge Denim (if available)
• 98% Cotton + 2% Elastane
• 99% Cotton
Avoid jeans with high polyester content. The more cotton, the better they'll age and feel.
3. Body-hug clothing:

• Viscose Blend
• Cotton-Spandex Blend
They hold their shape much better than cheap polyester.
4. Hoodies
Search:
• 400 GSM
• French Terry
• Cotton Fleece

These are far more resistant to fading than ordinary fashion jewelry.

Pictures lie a lot
The description usually tells the truth.
Here's how I shop:
1. Read the material composition before anything else.
2. Sort by Most Orders or Best Selling, not cheapest.
3. Only buy products with lots of reviews or pictures or even better when a Nigerian has purchased it before they always tell the truth.
4. Read the 1-star reviews first. They'll tell you what the seller won't.
5. Look at customer photos, not the product photos.
6. Check the weight of the product. Better quality clothing is often heavier.
7. Read the size chart. Don't assume your Nigerian size matches.
8. If the title has words like "luxury," "premium," or "designer" but the material is 100% polyester, not everything but still move on.
Your best friend isn't the product picture.
It's the material, the reviews, and the customer photos.
That's how you separate the gems from the junk.

Things are to expensive for a country this poor.
So for the people in the comments who were asking me to explain it, here goes.
Normally, there are two waves or times where cytotrophoblasts invade the decidua.
The first happens between weeks 10 and 12 and then the second wave comes between weeks 16 and 18.
Normally, the trophoblastic invasion is meant to remodel the spiral arteries and sort of straighten them out, making them high capacitance, low resistance and low pressure vessels, to improve blood flow to the placenta.
In women who develop preeclampsia, the second wave of this trophoblastic invasion fails and the cytotrophoblasts don't invade deeply enough into the decidua. Because of this, the spiral arteries remain spiral(low capacitance, high resistance and high pressure vessels) and do not straighten out and then the placenta does not get enough blood.(This accounts for the elevated blood pressure).
Because the baby is a "parasite", the placenta begins to release harmful chemicals into the mother's bloodstream in a bid to get more blood to come it's way.
These chemicals cause endothelial damage and the mother's blood vessels become leaky.(This accounts for the protein loss).

Fortunately after rehab he bounced back, now happily married and doing very fine for himself.

200 level blood physiology incourse! I knew it before i went to write it. Understanding the sentence was the main struggle.
I'm of the opinion that exams shouldn't be written outside air conditioned rooms so the ambient temperature is controlled while the brain is combusting.
