As part of the Fifteenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS COP15) in Brazil, NCW participated in a panel session discussing the importance of connectivity between marine habitats and the role of scientific data in conserving seagrass and associated species.

NCW participated in the Second Scientific Session of the Invasive Marine Species Project, which was held in the Sultanate of Oman. The Session aimed to strengthen regional coordination and build a shared framework for assessing the risks posed by invasive species, while supporting the conservation and sustainability of marine ecosystems

Concluding of the Reginal Symposium on the first phase of the invasive marine species project in the ROPME Sea Area

The scientific workshop which organized by ROPME on the results of the first phase of the invasive marine species project in the ROPME Sea Area concluded in Muscat after presentation of the  the project's outputs and review the details of the second phase, which is scheduled to begin next January.

The Symposium entitled “Review of the outputs and results of the survey of non-native, harmful, and unknown marine species in the ROPME Sea Area”. It included presentation of national experts to the results of a detailed survey conducted to identify invasive marine species within the Territorial Sea of each Member State, as represented in 8 national reports, as well as perennation of the results of the integrated regional report, which ROPME plans to launch it during the first quarter of next year. It is also worth noting that ROPME will follow this step by launching the second phase of the project, for assessment of the impact of these invasive species on the environmental and economic resources.

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s participation in the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi, the National Center for Wildlife Pavilion organized a session titled “The Future of Oceans: Climate Adaptation and Resilience Enhancement.” The session addresse climate challenges facing marine ecosystems and showcased scientific solutions to strengthen their resilience and ensure the sustainability of natural resources.
