Challenged myself with writing a blog post for @NesslingSaatio in Finnish :) Briefly, we unexpectedly got new Bdellovibrio-related prey bacteria isolated while trying to isolate viruses from tundra soils. Research is exciting! Thanks to @JenniHultman and @johannaosvath for help!
@SLUCompPhys@helsinkiuni Thank you, Dan! That was truly great time and an opportunity for me. Without your interest in the topic and support, that would not be possible to organize it for APS members!
Positive vibes of open electronics at @helsinkiuni👩🏭👨🏾💻👩🏻🔬
Over last two years, I have organised six workshops in 🇫🇮🇩🇪🇺🇸 and around 100 biologists have got hands-on experience in device prototyping and R&D communication.
Thank you, students and researchers, for wonderful time🤗❤️
Last week, I had the privilege of organizing the Open Electronics course at @helsinkiuni for the third time in a row. This course was designed for ecologists and focused on creating custom-made monitoring and control systems.
A special shout-out to @LammiStation for hosting us🫶🏻
The project concept, its implementation and final results should not be perfect. The idea here is to start building a portfolio for a potential employer, customers, or a business partner😉
In many engineering schools including @metropolia, an innovation project is one of the last obligatory courses. However, it is also an amazing opportunity to demonstrate our skills and enthusiasm concerning the field we are studying.
The first vacation day as an electronics engineer when I have finally found time to solder 50 meters of a cable to 20 DC pumps🫠 Ok ok, just trying to move forward one interesting side project👨🏭
Hyvää Juhannusta Kaikille🌞
Happy Summer Solstice, Folks🌅
Last summer, @VaisalaGroup gifted many birdhouses to R&D employees. Nowadays, some of these houses are full of birds, Believe me or not, but I can hear the voices of blue tit chicks on my tiny yard🐣

My BEng thesis conducted at Vaisala is just published!
Take a look if you are curious how we tested the Modbus protocol: https://t.co/hE3t2u588x

@arduino I like it, but there are several suggestions for the next version:
1) having i2c, uarts, and spi protocols there would be great! Are there going to be some extension block with that functionality?
2) the number of digital outputs could be more than four, too limited now.
