200 level (2015/16), Faculty of Law, Benue State University, I was the best Islamic law student. I was so good my scripts were used by my juniors sets after as the precedent for answering questions in Islamic law.

500level (2019/2020), my project was the only one on Islamic law. My uncle begged me to write on Company law because I was really good at it. I said no and followed my passion for Islamic law. My topic was on the doctrine of Ijbar (child marriage). I went on countless interviews within the Muslim communities in Benue for this and the witness testimonies I got till date still make me sad. We were even warned to stop talking to their wives and daughters in Katungu (Makurdi people will know Katungu and how notorious it is).

I can tell you people in the SW for a fact that you had better fight Sharia law with everything in you especially your women.

This is not a time to be doing online bigotry anymore.

Sharia (Islamic Law) is the easiest law to use to perpetuate human rights abuses.

I am first and foremost a Muslim. I am an adherent of Islam, an Abrahamic believer, and a Hanif before anything else. Only then am I Yorùbá.

To those who have made it their mission to question the loyalty of Yorùbá Muslims, you may continue your attacks. But know this: for a true Muslim, Islam will always come first. It precedes ethnicity, culture, and nationality because it is the primordial covenant with our Creator.

A Yorùbá Muslim is not conflicted in his identity. He was a Muslim in the divine decree long before he was conceived, and he entered the world as Yorùbá the day he was born to Yorùbá parents. These two identities are not rivals—they are perfectly compatible. One defines his eternal soul and purpose; the other shapes his language, culture, and earthly heritage. Today, in my capacity as the President of NANS, I led all the structures of NANS, including sister unions, NAUS, NAPS, NANCES and NFSAN to the Community High school, Ahoro-Esiele, and Yawato community in Orire Local Government area of Oyo state, where we visited the scenes where our students and teachers were abducted.

Going forward, we met with the King, some of the families of the victims, and parents in the communities of Ahoro-Esiele and Yawato communities.

Furthermore, we assured them of our solidarity and support for them in this time of trouble and grief. Subsequently, we assured them that we are constantly calling on the government to ensure the immediate rescue and safe return of the abducted students and teachers.

Conclusively, I assured all Nigerian Students that as far as I remain their President, I will continue to protect their interest. They can be assured that they have a leadership that will not let them down.
