Our spring submission call is coming up🌺
Since we've been experiencing high submission volumes these past few calls (and could use more volunteer readers to match 😃), we are setting a 500 submission limit for this period.
Excited to read your stories and poems!
I'm glad to have my poem "Great Luminous Things " published yesterday in Ember: a Journal of Luminous Things.
A big thanks to the editors for providing a befitting home.

@stepha_henson And feel free to send a message within your submission file to check in on your piece’s status if it’s been 5-6 months since you submitted. Our Associate Editor will let you know where your submission is at in our process.
@stepha_henson Hey Stephanie! We will always send a decline or acceptance email to writers, plus a “notification of movement” if your submission has made it to the final round of voting. Though our response times are longer than mags as of late, we will never leave submitters “on read” 🙂
