Edin Džeko: “I’m playing for my people. I’m playing for the boys and girls in the streets of Sarajevo. I’m playing for all the different cultures and religions that make our country so beautiful, even if some people are still trying to break us apart.
They will never succeed.
Not because of me. Not because of the adults. We never learn. It’s because of you kids.... You never change.
So do me one final favour, OK?
Whether you live in Sarajevo, or Rome, or St. Louis.... Whether you are Muslim or Jewish or Catholic or Orthodox....
Never forget where you came from.
You are Bosnian. The world is at your feet.” https://t.co/Ntp4FOszJf
When @EdDzeko was a child, he survived the four-year Siege of Sarajevo.
Before he captains Bosnia & Herzegovina at this World Cup, he has a message for the children. And for the world. https://t.co/0wl6pnt6oN
RIP to the legendary commentator Edin Avdić.
It was always a joy to listen to him commentating our basketball NT. He gave out NT a voice and the passion needed.
He had a lot of legendary calls, but “SA PARKINGAAAA AHHHHH” will always be remembered.
All the strength to his family and my deepest condolences.
Edin Avdić.
In 2002/03 season when Henry got 20 assists, Manchester United won the league:
Scholes who was playing double pivot in the midfield had 14 goals and 3 assists in 31 league games.
Giggs had 8 goals and 10 assists in 32 games in the league
Van Nistlerooy had 25 goals and 4 assists in the league
All these United players performed exceptionally well and topped it up by winning the league yet Henry was the one who won PFA player of the year.
It's not about winning the league, it's about who has been the best individually.
I don’t get the Ole comparisons or the negativity. OGS finished 3rd and 2nd. @ManUtd ended last season 15th. Every managerial appointment is a risk. Carrick has surely deserved his chance? https://t.co/gE50tyj5zi
