Okay so being 100% sincere for the moment, I get the idea that art conveys experiences in a really deep and useful way, and it’s been instructive to me that most people are appealing to that in replying to the above. But at other times I hear people speaking of learning actual truths from art, and not just truths of the form “This is what it would be like if…,” and that’s what I still do not comprehend
