Our Exodus (16:1-5,9-15) reflection today invites us to stay focused on Jesus as we journey toward our God-given destiny. Like the Israelites, we may be tempted to long for the small comforts of the past, even those found in places of bondage, forgetting that God is leading us to something far greater in the Promised Land.

The journey may be difficult, and the frustrations of delay can become a doorway for the devil to sow doubt, discouragement and disobedience. But in the waiting, trust in God. Guard your faith and your heart against the subtle manipulations of the enemy, and remain anchored in hope.
