MEET THE UCCF BOARD | Moses Echodu (@mechodu_), Executive Director & Board Secretary
Moses Echodu’s work for children with cancer is rooted in lived experience.
More than 25 years after receiving treatment for Burkitt lymphoma at the Uganda Cancer Institute, he leads the Uganda Child Cancer Foundation as Executive Director and serves as Board Secretary.
His advocacy spans school awareness programmes, Uganda’s National Cancer Control Plan and the steering committee for the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer Control in Uganda. A Mandela Washington Fellow and NCDI Poverty Network Fellow, he brings the survivor’s perspective into decisions about access and support.
His conviction: all children deserve access to cancer care and the opportunity to live a full, productive life.

On the next episode of TIE THE KNOT, I host Majorie Nalugwa a pastor, a mother of 5 who was married for 10 years and endured the worst domestic abuse. Her ex husband was a wealthy man who was the first man she ever dated in her life. She was 20 years in her second year at campus when she got married. He mistreated her to the extent that she wanted to commit suicide and he told her he could help her. He gave her scars all over her body. After 10 years in marriage, she re- married and when her ex husband was on his death bed, she forgave him and wrote a book “beyond the scars”. Dropping this Thursday at 6:00Pm
