BREAKING: ECOWAS has ordered its standby force to restore constitutional order in Niger Republic! ECOWAS’ Omar Alieu Touray made the declaration earlier, at the ECOWAS extraordinary meeting in Abuja, today. The body also called on African Union, AU, partner countries and institutions to support the resolution taken by ECOWAS (to restore constitutional order in Niger by force.)

ECOWAS said all efforts made to dialogue with Niger Republic’s military junta have been “defiantly rejected by the coup leaders,” and that they condemn the continuous detention of the ousted former president of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum and his family members.

Part of the ECOWAS resolution reads: “Direct the committee of the Chief of Defense Staff to activate the ECOWAS Stan-by force with all its elements immediately.

“Order the deployment of the ECOWAS stand-by force to restore constitutional order in the Republic of Niger.”

So, war is here and this is for real. God help the motherland.

Shockingly, the Nigerian ECOWAS army was nowhere to be found on this day, but now they are preparing to invade Niger with a hungry stomach. I see some of them complaining anonymously about unpaid salaries but that’s another day’s conversation.

To Appeal Court Justices:

My Lords, Nigerians want a judgment that will be strictly on the merit of the cases advanced at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. We want a ruling that is devoid of any form of technicalities in favor of the defendants. Any judgment that is contrary to Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s disqualification will lead to the truncation and mutilation of justice. Let the judiciary stand bold and dispense justice. Heaven will not fall when the right things are done.

During the PEPT proceedings at the Appeal Court, Nigerians saw firsthand how the justices shutdown LP and PDP Lawyers on different occasions, but never for once did the same to Bola Tinubu’s lawyers. There was a day Justice Bolaji told the PDP lawyer that Wole Olanipekun SAN has the interest of Nigeria at heart, really? Does it mean LP and PDP lawyers do not have the interest of Nigeria at heart?

Similarly, Justice Tsammani told Uche Chris SAN in court, as a Christian, Bola Tinubu should be forgiven for drug trafficking and money laundering case. He further added that Christians forgive and even Jesus said, “go and sin no more.” Even IF Justice Tsammani was joking, it was very expensive and unacceptable joke!

Nigerians followed the PEPT proceedings keenly and are waiting to see how the justices will rule. Any judgment that fails to disqualify Tinubu will not reflect the will of the Nigerian people and will be in gross violation of our Constitution and electoral laws.

You see why I was suspicious of Fashola’s involvement? This is also the reason why the judges don’t want to announce a judgment date yet. They’ve been told to wait to hear them out first.

Lastly, look at Seyi Makinde we all thought was decent. This election has revealed a lot and I hope you all are taking notes. He worked against Labour Party at the presidential election but people were to ashamed to speak up or call him out. Wike also said it but people looked away. Make Una dey check am.

Hear him:

As long as ECOWAS tolerates institutional coups that allow lifetime presidencies, and fraudulent declaration of election results, manipulation of judicial announcements, there will always be military coups. We cannot condemn military coups when we do not condemn those who carry out institutional coups.

ECOWAS should work for the interest of our peoples.
