@GoodLawProject It wasn't just right wing media. Novara Media cast doubt on his having tried to commit suicide before with no evidence at all. The Guardian also humiliated him about his childhood mutism. Don't frame this as right thing: it's a UK media thing. The left was as bad - if not worse.

@AyoCaesar Driving a man to suicide is clearly far more serious than anything he was alleged to have done. Novara implying he invented an earlier suicide attempt was obscene and guaranteed to cause despair. Why did Novara Media participate in the media lynching of Professor Arbay?

@carolecadwalla Before his death @novaramedia openly doubted that Prof Arday had attempted suicide before - with no compelling evidence for this brutal smear. That sort of whipping is only possible if you think of somebody as less than human to begin with - as the enslavers did.

@AyoCaesar @AaronBastani Prof Arday was hounded to his death in part by mudslinging imbued with the racist trope of criminality included in Aaron Bastani's many insults. It's odd that two days later NM still hasn't got around to addressing this - is that also because Prof Arday was Black?

@Frances_Coppola A reporter on Times Higher Education (Jack Grove) contacted Prof Arday with allegations of plagiarism and got a legal letter in response. Grove contacted Prof Arday a few more times & was reported to police for harassment. UK 's incestuous media then closed ranks & destroyed him.

@AaronBastani It wasn't 'unhelpful' to call Prof Arday a 'conman' - it was abuse. You added a link to one of his lectures inviting others to "Watch it!" and join in your howling contempt for his work. No words for that? It is a gleeful invitation to a bear-baiting that looks a lot like hate.
