When I was in school, anytime we attend meetings, ministers would stir up our fervency to pray by telling us stories of God’s General’s, telling us about men who made mockery of natural phenomena by a display of God’s power.

However, many of those ministers have now grown to become very big, and it seems like those kinds of display seems far from their minds.

Listen to many of them speak now and it’s all about influence, prosperity and breakthrough.

I saw a video on here earlier today about how some certain fulani boys, alleged to be bandits or kidnappers, were arrested with native powers that made them unable to move.

I am yet to confirm it, but if it is true, then it is a very interesting situation.

If a native doctor can secure their village against bandit, but the best that a prophet of the most High God can do is “pray that the Lord will touch the heart of our leaders”, then I think we have a serious problem on our hands.

We need to have a serious rethink.

If it is true that the Queen of Scotland said that she feared the prayers of John Knox more than the entire armies of England,

Then we have to ask ourselves while obviously wicked politicians like Tinubu are asking us to pray.

Maybe it’s because they know that nothing will happen.

Ever since the first bomb blast in 2009, we have been praying. But somehow, I don’t think any man of God has come out to say, “This is the voice of God concerning this issue”.

Like, I do not think that corporately, as a body of Christ, we can stand and say, this is God’s word for the nation of Nigeria and HOW we will be delivered.

Or maybe I am the one that is not seeing it.

All I know sha, is that the God of the bible that was taught to me, is not the kind of God that will be happy with building huge cathedrals while innocent children are dying in the forest.

And if we call ourselves His body, and Oracles of the Living God, then something is wrong somewhere.
