@uOttawaGenie
Good morning, Ottawa. The levels of COVID-19 circulating in our community are high.
And while some things have changed since 2020, others have not: masks still work. A well-fitted mask will help protect you, and those around you.
It's a very simple thing that goes a long way.
A round of applause for @uOttawa’s 2023 #VanierCanada Scholars who are striving to develop proactive health solutions and improve our quality of life through their innovative research projects. Congratulations to all!
Contrary to decreasing clinical trends (which are a few weeks behind wastewater observations), Influenza A going back up in the last week of December in #Ottawa wastewater.

En cette Journée nationale de commémoration et d’action contre la violence faite aux femmes, nous nous souvenons du massacre qui a eu lieu à Polytechnique Montréal et nous honorons les 14 femmes qui ont perdu la vie le #6décembre1989.
Our friends at @CHEO have seen significant volumes of other respiratory viruses, like flu & RSV.
And those viruses do have an impact on our levels of risk as a community, including on our health system.
So, we're adding flu & RSV wastewater data into our weekly snapshot. (4/9)
@jeffgilchrist@RobDelatolla The data scrapping happens late afternoon. There were some delay this week but the data will be back at being updated daily.
