@MatthiasGalvin Had an energy drink this morning, wasn't too bad, just sweeter than I remember. Last soda I bought I had to dump out.
I think the ice in the cup makes a big difference. The constant ice-cold temp + ice melting and slightly watering down the drink, keeps the syrupyness at bay.
After abstaining from sugary soft drinks for quite a while, and now trying them again, I can't believe just how sickly sweet they are. Used to be refreshing, now it's more like choking down syrup.
