Y'know, as all these anti-trans laws keep being pushed/passed, I'm starting to like the classic "unrelenting force of destruction" werewolf more. I've already spoken about how the werewolf is a trans masc icon, and I think we're gonna need that wolf soon. https://t.co/peQH7u6q3F
The werewolf being a beast that comes suddenly from within you where it didn't exist before, and overpowers you beyond your control is also reminiscent of how puberty feels as a trans masc, these violent, painful changes you didn't ask for that fill you with wrath and rage.
Trans people are now protected from sex based harassment under the Protection from Sex-based Harassment in Public Act 2023.
This means that gender critics can potentially be prosecuted for harassing, alarming, or distressing trans people in public.

@Amelia__xm@KinaMagica Yeah, like, the guardian isn't always a parent, it can be an aunt/uncle, older sibling, older cousin, grandparent, or some other relative. I guess if we wanted to soothe the tantrumites, we could say "mother, father or guardian" but that's like... more words. Clunky.
...and we have grown past the folly of questioning if a person is truly gay if they've ever tried het sex before, and the same needs to be applied to asexuals. Aces can fuck, because attraction is about who gets your engine revving, not about whether you've gone for a test drive.
Reminder this pride that asexuality is about attraction, not history of sexual partners. You can have sex with people you are not attracted to, and unless you're repulsed, many people will. Gay men and lesbians do it often and realize they aren't turned on by heterosexuality...
@nachtyr@setaradiactiva@The_Invad3r ...distinction important to make so everyone feels seen and understood and there isn't gatekeeping of aces who have had sex. I'm ace, repulsed, and celibate, but not every ace is, and like with being gay, lesbian or bi, your attraction isn't defined by your history of partners.
@nachtyr@setaradiactiva@The_Invad3r ...but I am not the only kind of ace. There are ace people who like to engage in partner sex, but the body of their partner isn't eliciting any arousal response. They might just like climax regardless of method or want to service and allosexual partner's desire. I find this...
@setaradiactiva@The_Invad3r ...the ace lacking sexual needs/desire, and they might also do it with a similarly ace partner purely to have children. Who you bang is not dependent on if they rev your engine or not or else physical service sex work would be very, very difficult for the sex worker.
@setaradiactiva@The_Invad3r ...the other person's body, even though they can still choose to copulate out of desire to have a child they and their actual partners get to coparent together. Likewisr, some ace people can also choose to have sex for the benefit of their allosexual partner's pleasure despite...
@The_Invad3r For anyone who simply doesn't get it, think about how stigmatized it is to want lots of sex, or sex with more than one person, or sex with the "wrong" gender, or using the "wrong" holes. This is what makes asexuality queer, that it defies normative patriarchal conventions.
@GordoFreem@Trey_Explainer I knew people who fell for photoshopped fake images. Before that, we airbrushed pictures. Prior to that, we'd just draw something and lie it was real. This is a deeply human problem with a new variation, new challenges, but the same underlying issue.
