I am excited to be a speaker at the upcoming TEDx Larchmont Village on July 26th at University of California - Los Angeles. To learn more about this TEDx, visit: https://t.co/Rs1CEBLr26
During this women's month of March, celebrated globally, join me and several African women founders, CEOs, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors, either in person or virtually, for a conversation on how to strategically use AI in your daily life and at work.
I’ll be sharing and demoing some of the exciting AI tools I’ve been using to to boost my own agency and productivity.
The key is AI is not a replacement for critical thinking, but a tool to expand our agency.
Here's the framework I've been working with 6 levels of AI engagement:
Level 1: AI for everyday answers
Level 2: AI for daily work
Level 3: AI for prototyping
Level 4: AI for building apps
Level 5: AI as your personal agent
Level 6: AI ambassador, instructor & thought leader
No matter what level of AI skills you currently have, I invite you to be part of this timely conversation.
I’ll also explore the tension of staying human and original in the age of AI
I’m excited to engage with you and explore these possibilities together!

🎤 Excited to share some big news with my network!
I am honored to step onto the #TEDx stage at #TEDxLarchmontVillage for *The Transformation Talk* on Sunday, July 26th at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Transformation doesn't happen in isolation, it begins within, but it rises through community. When resilient voices come together, healing happens. Vision expands. Leaders are born.
This is where ideas spark action. Where courage meets creativity. Where purpose becomes impact.
This event is close to my heart. It brings together leaders, changemakers, and community builders around one powerful idea: that real, lasting transformation is possible in our communities, in our systems, and in ourselves.
If you believe in the power of ideas to heal, unite, and move us forward, this is an event you won't want to miss.
Learn more and join us: https://t.co/wCGaG9RH1V
I'd love to see familiar faces in the room. Let's build something meaningful together.

Humbled to be featured this week at the Women In Product Black History Celebration!
When I look back at the young girl growing up in Cameroon with bold dreams and limited resources, I could never have imagined the path ahead — from earning my PhD to leading 0→1 product initiatives at companies like Meta, Amazon, Yahoo, Roku, McAfee, and Intel.
But beyond products that have scaled to billions, what matters most to me is impact.
Impact through mentoring.
Impact through serving on nonprofit boards.
Impact through advancing diversity in STEM.
Impact through initiatives like the Greene Scholars Program and Girls Who Code.
And impact through my memoir, For Such A Time As This: From Humble Roots in Africa to Silicon Valley Leadership, a story of resilience, faith, grit, and purpose-driven leadership.
I believe true leadership is not just about building products at scale. It’s about building people, opening doors, and creating legacy.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. The best is still ahead.

A recent message from a client stopped me in my tracks:
“Your mission-driven approach to building AI and consumer products at a global scale with PURPOSE is inspiring. I really appreciate how you connect impact, ethics, and leadership with purpose.”
That note captures exactly why I created this course.
We are leading in a time of constant change, pressure, and unprecedented acceleration driven by AI. Titles, playbooks, and technical skills alone are no longer enough. What distinguishes meaningful impact today is purpose, clearly defined, deeply rooted, and actively applied.
In this course, you will learn how to:
1) Apply the PURPOSE Framework (from my award-winning memoir For Such A Time As This: https://t.co/Yez2iU0kWC) to lead with clarity and confidence through ambiguity.
2) Build resilience tools to lead effectively under pressure and uncertainty.
3) Clarify and activate your unique value in the age of AI, without losing your humanity.
This course is for leaders, builders, technologists, and change-makers who want to scale impact without compromising ethics, values, or self. Whether you’re navigating transformation as an individual contributor or leading others through change, this course is for you.
Sign up here: https://t.co/5ZL1PbFff8
This course is FREE and scheduled for February 11th at 9 AM PST.
I’d love to hear from you: What’s your biggest challenge or question when it comes to leading with purpose and navigating transformation in today’s AI-driven world? Share it in the comments. I may address it directly in the course!

Elegance vs. Usability: Lessons from Japan
I recently returned from a family trip to the beautiful land of Japan over Thanksgiving break. We all love Japan! While the culture, food, and learning experiences were unforgettable, what lingered most was Japan’s unwavering commitment to excellence, especially in technology.
One moment, in particular, keeps replaying in my mind: Japan’s extraordinary attention to design. Every product, every space, every interaction feels meticulously intentional, from cutting-edge tech to the simple elegance of food presentation. It’s a culture that deeply honors craftsmanship.
And yet, standing in front of a shower or toilet control panel filled with a dozen buttons I couldn’t decipher (see photo), I had an important realization: thoughtful design isn’t just about sophistication; it’s about usability and accessibility.
These panels were beautiful and represented remarkable engineering craft. But for a tourist relying on Google Translate just to use a hotel bathroom, they highlighted a real tension: when does design complexity stop serving people and begin creating friction?
Great design accomplishes something far more powerful than impressiveness; it achieves clarity. It delights without overwhelming. It elevates everyday experiences without alienating those unfamiliar with the system.
This is a crucial reminder for effective product leaders and managers: elegance without ease of use is simply complexity in disguise.
How do you navigate this balance in your work? When does attention to detail elevate an experience, and when does it get in the way?

-Rummana Dada: Empower girls early to close gender gaps in entrepreneurship & risk-taking.
-Tidjane Deme: Pitch 300+ times before raising your first fund (~$100M). Resilience pays.
