There are many things worth getting upset about, but they get devalued by stories like these.

@brown_myra @rachbarnhart @alroker In fact, the delay between the event and his apology gives more evidence that it was likely unintentional. If he purposely wanted to say a racial slur and get away with it, wouldn't he have a canned apology ready to go to make it look unintentional?

@brown_myra @rachbarnhart @alroker So now there is a time limit for a proper apology? He, like many of us who read the story, was probably in shock that a Freudian slip is punishable by termination. It may have taken him some time to properly digest the fact that some folks hold intent in such low regards.

I think you do though. He's already apologized and recognized his error, but you won't lay off. The fact that he's not catering to your egregious apology demands doesn't mean he lacks sensitivity.
