Vandalism of signs asking dog walkers to keep dogs on a lead seasonally is widespread in the Peak District. When reminded about the rules people are typically abusive. See also open fires.

Male Chaffinch 🐦 🎨

With a wingspan of up to 80mm & big Peacock-like eyes, this is the female Emperor #moth. Told apart from the male by a larger wingspan, paler colouration, and no feathered antennae. Typically nocturnal & with one generation this is a great find by #Ranger @emi_jane1
