I’ve read a lot of tennis books and this one by @conorniland1 is right up there with the best. An extraordinary insight into the circus that is the professional tennis tour and a beautiful, nuanced look at the father-son relationship behind an accomplished sporting career.
So important to have up-to-date insights on this quickly changing area. Please encourage your students to participate!
Best of luck @Webwise_Ireland @Janeymacg 😊

How can your department/government allow this vital facility to be delayed and denied @DarraghOBrienTD@LeoVaradkar@rodericogorman? It’s impossible to encourage our children to live healthy, active lives when their local facilities look like this. I despair. @MaryLouMcDonald
Can you find the ball?
It’s time to decide whether we support proper facilities for local children or prioritise Brent Geese. Time for politicians to plan next steps for the community & not have a govt dept ‘recommend’ winter bird surveys.
It looks like a pitch in the 70’s!!
@TennisPodcast 12YO, sneaking out of bed, while at Irish College, to eavesdrop on Today at Wimbledon 2001(!). Was on a remote island, w/a local family&was forbidden from speaking English never mind sneaking out to follow tennis! On the weekly trip to a shop, spent pocket money on newspapers😂

@siewhongyap@Fionamw_ire@RotundaHospital Aw, lovely to connect with you, Yap😊Yes, Alice is walking, talking and generally causing mischief and lots of laughs. I think of you often. Wishing you all the best for the future💕
@Gough_Cat Now at 15 months Alice is still a super light sleeper but usually has a good reason (sick/teeth) if she’s up in the middle of the night. Two bad nights this week but, after a lot of hard work, things have improved. Looking at no. 1 I can confirm things do get better💕💪🏻
@Gough_Cat Oh it’s just horrendous. Around 8/9 months I reached a breaking point and had to call in reinforcements🥴Had the fortune of family members come and do the odd night and it was magic. Also gave in to a period of bedsharing. No. 1 tip is ask for more help!
