“NDC will win 25 states” “ADC will clear North”, please stop the clowning and get serious.

Guys, always stand up to shake hands. If the other person is older than you, it shows respect. If they are younger than you, it shows humility. Either way, you win. People who sit to shake hands are bad-mannered.

When you shake hands, do not just offer a limp hand... even to an elder! Make sure that your handshake is firm. It shows confidence and fitness.

Then make sure that you look into the person’s eyes. It shows interest, attention and confidence. Don’t look away furtively like a liar and a thief!

Remember, as a man, there should be nothing limp or flaccid about you. You should always be polite and gracious, quietly confident (not arrogant, that is for inferior men) and erect. Always erect!

Last night in Lagos, I was announced winner of the AVIATION AGENCY DIRECTORS AWARD. My directorate also won multiple awards for our work in aviation consumer protection. While accepting these accolades, I must thank my boss, the DGCA, Capt. Chris Najomo, for his support. Without his backing, we would not achieve the much we have. I am also grateful to my team of over 260 consumer protection officers who work night and day without fail.

My dear Egbon, I think you may have been completely swamped by the arguments of descending voices over one’s view rightly because of the obidents extremism to discussing about real issues facing the Nigerian state.

For context, this post was based on a discussion with @unkonfined in a Space where he was asking if coming to Nigeria will result in his kidnap. We deliberated on multiple scenarios using America and other countries as examples based on actual incidents as measured against how it was reported from different perspectives.

This is the context in which this clarification was given and not in direct response to the incident in Jos. He was asked if it was okay to conclude that a visit to U.S. meant instant bullet to the head upon arrival based on the constant news about gun violence. Should we deem America to be unsafe watching people get assassinated on live broadcast?

This however doesn’t invalidate the position of citizens holding the Nigerian leaders and current administration accountable for the security lapses in the country. We must never give in to despair or normalize the peculiar unsavory situation of religious cum ethnic motivated killings and general intolerance which includes the outright demonization of persons just because we disagree with their point of view. 🪴
